LANSING, Mich. — Sen. Roger Victory was recognized Thursday by the Michigan FFA Association for his strong support of the agricultural industry and the state’s future leaders.
“I am always impressed by the knowledge, dedication and leadership of FFA members,” said Victory, R-Hudsonville. “It was wonderful to meet these outstanding students and an honor to be recognized by the Michigan FFA, which does great work developing future leaders and supporting Michigan agriculture.”
Victory was recognized by Michigan FFA State President Haili Gusa at a reception in the Capitol rotunda with student FFA delegates from across Michigan. The association is holding its 92nd State FFA Convention on the campus of Michigan State University.
The Michigan FFA consists of 8,000 members from 118 chapters. FFA is a diverse organization, operating in rural, urban and suburban schools.
Victory represents Ottawa County in the state Senate, where he chairs the Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on Agriculture and Rural Development and serves as vice-chair of the Senate Agriculture Committee. He also owns Victory Farms LLC, a year-round specialty crop producer, and Victory Sales LLC, a national produce distributor.
