LANSING, Mich. — Sen. Roger Victory, R-Hudsonville, presented tributes to Aruna Khadka and MediLodge of Holland on Wednesday in recognition of their earning a 2020 Impact Award from the Michigan Works! Association.
MediLodge of Holland was honored for being a committed partner to the Holland community and building and maintaining a compassionate staff that cares for their residents.
Aruna Khadka immigrated to the U.S. from Nepal in 2017. She attended workshops and learned English and then joined a certified nursing assistant training program through West Michigan Works! She now works at MediLodge caring for families.
The tributes were signed by Victory, Rep. Bradley Slagh, R-Zeeland, Gov. Gretchen Whitmer and Lt. Gov. Garlin Gilchrist.
