LANSING, Mich. — Sen. Roger Victory, R-Hudsonville, on Tuesday released the following statement in response to President Donald J. Trump’s visit to Michigan as he marks the first 100 days of his second administration:
“Michigan is the perfect place for President Trump to be delivering his 100-day speech. Michigan is ground zero for his efforts to bring home American manufacturing, fight for a fair deal on trade, and ensure America’s energy independence.
“President Trump has delivered on his promise to lower everyday costs like eggs, gas and prescription drugs, and he is continuing the fight to address our global trade deficits, cut wasteful government spending, and put America First.
“So far, President Trump has had to do almost all of this on his own — Congress needs to do its part and step up to support his agenda and make real progress on the issues that are important to Michiganders.”
