Victory visits Rosewood Elementary as they break world record

LANSING, Mich. — Sen. Roger Victory visited Rosewood Elementary School in Jenison Friday as hundreds of students, faculty and family members performed “jazz hands” — breaking the previous Guinness World Record.

Rosewood Music Teacher Karen Ambs organized the world record event.

The previous record for performing jazz hands had been 394 people, set in London in November 2016 by the British organization Event and Visual Communication Association during their live awards ceremony.

“This was a unique and fun experience! I was honored to be the official witness,” said Victory, R-Hudsonville. “I’m so proud of the effort and enthusiasm from the Rosewood students, teachers and families who came out to beat the record.”
